ebrary - Downloads
To Download a Chapter of an ebrary Academic Complete Book:
You can download a full chapter or highlighted section of an ebrary book in PDF format to your computer, or reader (including Kindle). You can keep this PDF document for as long as you want.
To do this, click on Download button in the ebrary search-results list or QuickView window. Then select the Chapter or section of the book you want to download and click OK.
If the chapter is larger than the copyright allowance, you will get an error message. If it isn't, the chapter will download in PDF format to your Downloads folder or Desktop.
To Download a full ebrary Academic Complete Book:
To download an entire ebrary document thereby creating an eBook for temporary access you need Adobe Digital Editions, a free software programme. (Not available for Linux, and not supported on Kindle.) You will then be able to read and annotate the eBook offline, and transfer it to your supported devices.
Access periods are 14 days, but you can return it early. You can have up to 10 ebrary eBooks at a time.
To do this go to the book you want to download and click the Download button in the ebrary search-results list or from within QuickView. Select the option to download the entire document and click OK. A small file (.acsm) will download to your Downloads folder or Desktop. Click on this and Adobe Digital will open with your book in its Library.
