Information packs & INVITATIONS
Graduands will receive an invitation card which will admit two guests to the conferring ceremony. The invitation card and information pack will be posted during week beginning Tuesday 4th October to the address on your student record. If you need to update this address please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, student number and new address BEFORE Tuesday 4th October.
Graduands do not need to present the invitation card for admission to the ceremony, but should ensure that their guests carry the invitation card for presentation to stewards at the entrance to the conferring venue. Only guests holding an invitation card will be permitted entry to the conferring venue on the day.
As it is not possible to exceed the seating capacity of the conferring venues, we regret that requests for extra invitation cards cannot be accommodated.
We kindly ask that the seating restrictions be observed for the safety and comfort of all graduands and their guests.
Each graduand must wear the appropriate academic robe during the ceremony. Graduands should pre-pay for their robes with official robe makers Phelan Conan Ltd, prior to the deadline of midnight on Monday 17th October. The pre-payment hire price is €31.

It is a graduand’s personal responsibility to ensure that you have ordered the required robe and hood from the official supplier of academic robes so that they are available for collection for your conferring ceremony.
If you have not pre-paid for your robe online it will cost €35 to hire it at CIT on the day and you may experience delays. Please note that no cash is accepted at CIT – only credit/debits cards.
Graduands and guests with accessibility requirements
We are happy to make arrangements to accommodate a graduand or guest with accessibility requirements. Please notify us in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org so that arrangements may be put in place.
Graduands who are unable to attend their conferring ceremony will be conferred in absentia. In due course, parchments will be posted to the home address on your student record. If your home address has changed please email email@example.com stating your name, student number and new address.
important note for graduands
Please note that all outstanding fees (and late penalties) must be paid in full to the Institute in order to be eligible to graduate. While a fee remains unpaid it is not possible to have an award conferred by the Institute.
Graduands can check their account balance and clear any unpaid fees online at www.cit.ie/pay
