Please fill in the Graduate Outcomes Survey 9 months after your graduation.

What is the GOS?

· This is a short, national survey defined by the Higher Education Authority (HEA – www.hea.ie) and managed locally by MTU Careers.

· It only takes 3-5 minutes to complete.

· It collects data from recent graduates (approx. 9 months after finishing studies) to determine details of their current situation, giving an estimate of numbers in employment or seeking employment, as well as those participating in further study or training, or those unavailable for work.

· Insight Statistical Consulting will carry out this year’s survey on behalf of MTU. Recent graduates will receive an SMS and email (at Easter time) with an individual survey link for completion. The email will come from research@insightsc.ie. They may also call you from the phone number 01 661 2488.

· All data gathered is confidential and provides MTU, and the Higher Education Authority (HEA – www.hea.ie) with valuable information about graduate employment, further study and other choices graduates make after their studies. This information informs programme development within MTU and supports engagement with industry, and with you, as a professional going forward.

The most recent survey results (Class of 2024) was published in November 2025. Just under 71,000 2024 graduates were surveyed with a response rate of 50.9%. The survey results show that 80.2% of graduates were working or due to start work 9 months after graduation. A further 10.7% were engaged in further study.
