The MTU Arena will be open on the day of the Fair from 10am on Thursday Oct 3rd. You may set up stands the night before on Wed Oct 2nd from 5pm.

Yes, trolleys will be provided. 

We suggest that you have sufficient staff to unload and set up your stand. Student Leaders wearing distinctive blue hoodies will also be available to help wherever possible.

11am 3rd & 4th years, Graduates, and Postgraduates attend.

12.30pm All students welcome to attend.

2.30pm-3.00pm Shhh…. Quiet Time

This is time set aside to accommodate students who prefer a quieter atmosphere with less external stimuli. We respectfully ask that music/ screens etc. are turned off/ minimized at this time, and that you stay to meet this cohort of students.

Each stand will be allocated 2 plug points.

Vouchers will be provided to cover a coffee and snack from the Arena cafe. We will have food trucks as part of the Fair on top of thee on campus shops, Bistro, Canteen and Arena Café.

Please measure your stand carefully before booking. Regretfully we cannot change the layout on the day. There are 2 sizes – standard and large. The standard size contains one 4ft table and 2 chairs, it will comfortably house a standard 85cm pop-up banner, the large stand contains a 6ft table and 3 chairs and will accommodate a 2.3m curve stand.

Due to a University-wide review of on campus parking taking place at present – we are unsure whether on campus parking will be available or not. Please see alternative options below:

 

Bus:

205: This is the most direct way to get to MTU by public transport. The 205 bus starts from Kent Station, (Cork train station) and travels through the city centre before termination inside the grounds of MTU Bishopstown Campus, from there it is a short walk across campus to MTU Arena.

Alternative routes:

208: The 208 runs from Lotabeg on the city's northside, through the city centre as far as Curraheen, the closest stop to MTU will be adjacent to Centra on Curraheen Road. From there it is a walk down Rossa Avenue to get to MTU (roughly 15 minutes).

220: The 220 runs from Carrigaline, through the city centre, along Model Farm Road before terminating in Ballincollig. Model Farm Road runs to the North of the Bishopstown campus with the closest stop to MTU outside the Motor Tax Office, Model Farm Park stop. From there walk south down Curraheen Road and walk through the campus to get to MTU Arena (roughly 15 minutes)

219: The 219 is a southside orbital route which starts in Mahon Point Shopping Centre and terminates outside MTU on Rossa Avenue. This bus route weaves through the southside of the city's suburbs and would not be the most direct route to MTU.

Open 7.30am to midnight Mon-Sat.

 

North Main St. Car Park:

Open Mon-Sat 08.30 to 18.30.

 

City Hall Car Park:

Open Mon-Sat 7.00am to 10pm.

The majority of on-street car parking in Cork City requires a disc to be displayed on your vehicle, these can be purchased from nearby shops, or there may be a Ticket Machine on that street. Parking Disc's usually cost 3 Euro for 1 hour parking, with Disc's needing to be displayed for the hours between 8.30am and 6.30pm
