VIRTUAL Conferring Ceremonies November 2020

These Ceremonies can be accessed at www.cit.ie/live  and will run from Monday 2nd November to Friday 6th November 2020.

The Institute will hold a special event in June 2021, as circumstances allow, in order to provide the ‘Class of 2020’ with the opportunity to gather together on campus to celebrate their success.

Parchments

Please note that your Parchment will be sent, by registered post, following ceremonies. The process will take approximately two weeks to complete.  Your parchment will be sent to the address the Awards Office currently has on file. If your address has changed, and you wish to update same so that your parchment can be delivered to the correct address, it is imperative you contact admissions@cit.ie to change your address. You will need to include your Student Number in this communication and please put Change of Address Request, in the subject line. The closing date to make this change is 17.00 on Friday 16th October 2020.  Please note any address changed after this date may result in a delay in receiving your parchment as your parchment will have to be reposted once returned by An Post to CIT.

Fees

Please note that all outstanding fees (and late penalties) must be paid in full to the Institute in order to be eligible to graduate.  While a fee remains unpaid it is not possible to have an award conferred by the Institute. Graduands can check their account balance and clear any unpaid fees online at www.cit.ie/pay Queries regarding outstanding fees should be emailed to fees@cit.ie stating your name and student number.

Gowns

Phelan Conan Ltd have offered CIT graduands their academic gown hire service for the virtual graduation ceremonies. This will enable you to celebrate your achievement by holding your own graduation, while taking pictures in your gown and enjoying the day at home with your family and friends. If you wish to book this service, please visit www.phelanconan.com and select ‘graduate gown hire’ to rent your gown (€35 which includes nationwide home delivery). The gown will then be delivered to your address or can be collected in store if preferred. The deadline for bookings is 5 working days before your ceremony, to ensure you get your gown in time for your virtual graduation. This Service will open on Monday 5th October at 12.00pm. *

Photography

Resolute Photography, who have done photography for previous CIT Conferring Ceremonies, have announced their photographic service for this year's Virtual Graduation Ceremonies. They have studios set up at the Kingsley Hotel Cork. If you wish to avail of this service, please log onto https://graduation2020.ie/ to book your Photography. *

 

* Please note that the Awards Office at CIT, nor CIT, are responsible for the Gown and Photography providers. All communication regarding gowns and photography must be directed to the relevant provider.
