Craft Apprentices
Craft apprentices are welcome to apply for DSS supports / reasonable accommodations while studying at MTU Cork campus. See the DSS Student Guide for more details.
DSS application 2023/24 deadlines:

*Dates are subject to change dependent on the start of each term which is confirmed by SOLAS.
Craft apprentices who require examination supports must apply for supports from the DSS by the dates above.
Apprentices who are returning to MTU Cork campus to study or repeat exams and already applied for DSS supports from September 2018 onwards just need to email dssCork@mtu.ie by the dates above especially if they wish to access exam supports..
How to apply for Supports
STEP 1 - Fill out online application form
Please click on red button below to apply for DSS supports.
(Please note you must fill out all of the information and click Submit to inform the DSS you have applied.)
If you received supports from MTU DSS Cork campus before and need exam supports, etc. for your repeat/Phase 6 exams, please email dssCork@mtu.ie by the dates above. We do not need a copy of your documents again.
STEP 2 - Provide documents
- You will also need to email us a copy of your evidence of disability documents by the dates below, e.g. a diagnosis report or letter confirming previous educational supports) dssCork@mtu.ie. For detailed information, please see our webpage.
If you accessed DSS supports before September 2018 and need exam supports etc. for your repeat/Phase 6 exams please fill out the online DSS application form by the dates above. We do not need a copy of your documents.
STEP 3 - Needs assessment
- You will receive a needs assessment document that confirms your DSS supports by email. You may also need to attend a needs assessment meeting to confirm your suports that you must attend if you are attending classes.
