Learning Support
DSS Learning Support provides support for DSS students with learning differences and a range of other disabilities around their assignments, reports and research for their course. They work on a one-to-one basis or with small groups, assisting students to develop sound research, planning and writing skills, organise course work, and manage deadlines and priorities required for their course of study. Learning Support works closely with Assistive Technology to enable students to use the tools to study independently, and it will help you to develop these skills.
Please note that DSS students must have a needs assessment before they can access learning support.
Please see our Resources page for bitesize Learning Support videos on study skills such as good notetaking, researching and referencing and starting an assignment.
