Work placement support Programme for Neurodiverse Undergraduates

 

Specialisterne Ireland offer one-to-one support programme in Semester 1 for MTU DSS neurodiverse students who are going on work placement in third year.

 

What is the support?

The programme offers 6-7 individual online sessions in semester 1 in: 

• CV preparation 
• interview skills and practice 
• workplace etiquette 
• Disclosing or not disclosing a disability at work
• support (if needed) when on placement. 

It is a confidential support, and  they can support you with this throughout semester 1 and can also check in with you when you are on placement. 

They are flexible and will arrange online meetings with you at a date/time that suits your timetable. 

Specialisterne cannot source your placement for you, but can support you in the process.

 

 

 

How do I join the programme?

• You can start with them in September/October depending on your availability and need.
• Places are limited so please email dssCork@mtu.ie by Friday 25th August 2023 if you would like to sign up.

Students on the MTU programme can use Specialisterne’s services in fourth year and on graduating. Specialisterne can work with you to find employment and help connect you with their network of industry partners.
